El Quijote y los niños

El Quijote y los Niños es la serie inconclusa de Solón. Sus dibujos exploran la parte mas tierna, dulce y humana del Quijote. Muchos de los dibujos son primeros bocetos hechos en la parte trasera de un papel cualquiera. La mayoría solamente tienen un primer ensayo a diferencia de otros Quijotes que tienen variaciones sobre una misma idea.  El último boceto a carboncillo que pueden apreciar al final de esta selección no es parte de estos Quijotes inconclusos. Es un boceto que dio nacimiento a un Quijote a tinta que fue adquirido por alguien muy afortunado que conoce la leyenda de ese dibujo.

Don Quixote and the Children is Solon’s unfinished series. His drawings explore the most tender, sweet and human part of Don Quixote. Many of the drawings are first sketches made on the back of any piece of paper. Most only have a first rehearsal unlike other Quixotes that have variations on the same idea. The last charcoal sketch that you can see at the end of this selection is not part of these unfinished Quixotes. It is a sketch that gave birth to a Quixote in ink that was acquired by someone very lucky who knows the legend of that drawing.
